Just heard from my Co-Worker in Ukraine, China as Russia to hold off invasion of Ukraine until after Winter Olympics.
Looks like they will make the move at the same time. I must wonder if North Korea will make it move too.

Don’t rule out the possibility that the Taiwan thing is a feint by China. With Russia’s military potentially wrapped up in an invasion of Ukraine the Chinese just might make a play for the Russian Far East.
Seriously, if Russia invades Ukraine then China would encounter no opposition at all from the West if they invade the Russian Far East. And they know the West won’t give one single damn about the Russians suddenly having to scramble to cover their butts against the Chinese.
It’s also a very Sun Tzu kind of thing to do and Xi is a fan of Sun Tzu.
China is not going to invade Taiwan . Russia only if Ukraine with US help starts the ball rolling as they say . Take it to the bank .

The only question is what role countries like North Korea and Iran will play.
With respect to Ukraine, Putin has allowed NATO time to stall and play games with him. As a result, his incursion into Ukraine might be tougher more costly than it would had he gone in sooner.
The only logical reason for the delay is Putin knows that after the Olympics he and Xi will be doing a tag team match against the west. But the delay benefits the west as it has enabled it to better prepare for any confrontations.
