I have good news and bad news.
The bad news is that this is evil. Look around. What Democrats believe in is not "politics as usual," it's not "liberalism," it's not "progressive," it's not even "socialist lite." It's pure evil. It's the kind of evil we used to fight wars over. It's a combination of communism, fascism, Nazism and the slavery of the Confederate South.
Yes, Democrats are the new Confederates.
First, before I define the evil that Democrats represent, let me start with an explanation. Understand I'm not talking about today's American South. I love the South. If it weren't for the patriots and conservatives of Southern states today, we wouldn't have a Republican Party. We wouldn't have lower taxes, prosperity, plentiful jobs, economic freedom or capitalism. We wouldn't be America. God bless the Southern states. You are my heroes.
But the Confederate South of the Civil War period is a different story. The Confederate South was built upon slavery. The Confederate South believed one group of Americans was subhuman and had no rights. Enslaving any group, for any reason, is pure evil. Slavery is the biggest stain on America's history.
I repeat, today's Democrats are the new Confederates.
It's happening again today. It's time to admit demonizing one group of Americans, taking their rights away and enslaving them is evil. It's un-American. These views don't belong in American politics. They don't belong in America.
It's time to tell the raw truth -- no matter how ugly. Democrats hate us: Republicans, conservatives, capitalists, and, most intensely, the unvaccinated. Democrats want no dissent. No freedom of speech. They want to destroy our lives. It's all out in the open now. They want to imprison us, censor us, ban us and take our jobs and businesses away. They even want to take our children away.
In short, they want to make us serfs and slaves. Over a mild flu, or common cold bug, with a 99.9% chance of recovery. The excuse for slavery in the 1800s was cotton. Today it's COVID-19.
You can't fight FACTS. Here they are. Read them and weep.
The latest Rasmussen poll is out.
Fifty-nine percent of Democrats (nearly two-thirds) would support the government confining unvaccinated people to their homes indefinitely. Think about that for a moment. This is madness. This is unlawful imprisonment. This is a violation of the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. We fought and died in the American Revolution over this one. This is slavery. We fought a Civil War over slavery.
But wait, it gets worse.
Just about half of Democrats (48%) believe you or I should face prison, or at best, fines that drive us out of business, for daring to discuss, debate or question the need for, effectiveness, or safety of COVID-19 vaccines. Free speech is out the window. If Democrats say "the world is flat" and you disagree, you must go along with it or go to prison.
About half (47%) of Democrats support the government tracking an unvaccinated person's movements at all times. How would they do that? Would they install chips under our skin? Would they assign Gestapo agents to follow us 24/7 year-round?
About half (45%) of Democrats support the government putting unvaccinated people in "designated facilities or locations" (i.e., internment camps for the unvaccinated).
Almost one-third of Democrats (29%) support the government taking children away from unvaccinated parents. It's no longer "my body, my choice." It's "government's way or lose your children."
And never forget Democrats in deep blue cities call their cities "sanctuary cities." They allow illegal aliens to live, work and vote without ID. Asking for ID would be "racist," they say. But they demand American citizens show ID to walk into any store, restaurant, bar, movie, sporting event or workplace 24/7.
Noncitizens can actually board airplanes now with "arrest warrants" or "deportation orders" as their form of ID, while American citizens who are unvaccinated in blue states have lost all civil and human rights.
This is no longer politics. This is a war of good versus evil. But there is a bright lining. It's good to know exactly how the enemy thinks. And make no mistake: Democrats with these sickening views are the enemy of good, the enemy of freedom, the enemy of civil and human rights, the enemy of democracy and the U.S. Constitution, the enemy of American exceptionalism. People with these kinds of abhorrent views don't belong in America.
It's clear we're in a Civil War. A war of good versus evil.
And Democrats are the new Confederates.
You don't think that Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, FDR, and every president since LBJ had more to do with that?
And the good news?

Why would you choose to alienate people who would otherwise be your allies?
During the war of Northern aggression my Irish immigrant ancestors were dragooned into the Union army even as they disembarked their ships and then sent down to Virginia to fight a war they surely did not understand where my grandfather, CSA 10th Va. Inf., Was killing them just as fast as he could.
Why was he doing that? What reason compelled him to suffer unspeakable hardship, daunting danger, wounds, imprisonment and remain faithful to what must've become obvious to him in his starving, shoeless condition was a losing cause?
At the same time some of my Irish ancestors in New York were rioting up and down Broadway and lynching Blacks to lampposts. Perhaps those Irishmen had begun to catch on to the realities of the American Civil War. Perhaps New York should have been invaded by the CSA?
The entire Democrat caucus of the state legislature of Mississippi recently walked out in protest over the voting security issue. In Mississippi there is no Democrat party without the black vote. Democrats, not just in Mississippi but across the country, know enough not to alienate their base. There is no justice in their protest over safeguarding the honesty of the vote, that is not the issue. Democrats serve their base no matter the degree of hypocrisy required.
Republicans have no presidential hope without our southern base in the electoral college. A prudent conservative would make every effort to avoid antagonizing our southern base in the college of electors over an issue nearly 2 centuries old. Not this author. Sadly, not all of the contributors to this thread.
Conceded, slavery is America's original sin and it is unacceptable by any civilized political party. But the treatment of the North of Native Americans is equally unacceptable. All the virtue does not lie North of the Mason-Dixon line nor did all evil repose south of it. Ask the Irish of the day. Ask the Indians. Ask those hanging from lampposts.
The vaccine mandates/passports were it. They got close to our lines, but are now taking damage on the battlefield of public opinion that they will never recover from.
Ya know...blaming the confederacy is plain bull5h!t. The overwhelming majority of white folks in the South didn’t even own slaves. They were too damn poor. So, what were they fighting for? Certainly not to keep their slaves, they had no slaves.
There are evil people in all walks. The federals under Lincoln / Sherman SLAUGHTERED the indigenous people of North America and sent them into exile on reservations. I guess that’s ok, you know, sense they were savages and all.
I could go on, but the South fought for state’s rights against a federal behemoth. Was slavery of the negro part of the civil war? Yes. Did the folks in the North hold slaves? Yes. Was Lincoln’s primary goal to free the slave? No.
In fact, Lincoln among others believed the negro could not assimilate into society and the notion of recolonization of the negro back to Africa and or the Caribbean would be a viable solution.
Furthermore, Lincoln’s writings and letter to Horace Greeley pretty much lays out his goal during the war. Preserve the union at all cost...even if it meant NOT freeing the slaves.
Let’s also not forget, it was the black man who initially sold their fellow countrymen into slavery and many free blacks OWNED slaves themselves. Some were notoriously brutal toward their own.
Good grief! Nauseating the perversion of history that folks keep parroting over and over and over to fit some sort of sick anti-confederacy narrative.
The North took control of this nation...how has it turned out?

Actually more like the Russian civil war between the Bolsheviks (communist) and the rest of the people.
The Bolsheviks were small, but dedicated minority, the other had hard time to organize and often fought among themselves.
Well not really. The Confederate South wanted:
- Decentralized power
- Limited government
- a non interventionist ie America first foreign policy
- secure borders
- a balanced budget
- strict limits on the ability of lobbyists/industry to get taxpayer money
It seems to me that modern Conservatives have a hell of a lot more in common with Southerners on all of those issues than we do with the Northeast.....err....I mean with Leftists. Say....same region dominates the other side both times. Hmmmmm.
Correct! The Democrat party of the 19th century were Jeffersonian Democrats. They were the exact opposite in most ways from the modern Democrat Party. The Republicans then were like the RINO Establishment now.....corporate subsidies for Fatcats, government pork, centralized power, etc.
The kind of New Deal and Great Society socialism the Democrats embraced in the 20th century would have been absolute anathema to 19th century Democrats.
That, or they are Leftists pushing their agenda and trying to smear their political opponents then and now. We have several Leftists posing as Conservatives who push the PC Revisionist “all about slavery” propaganda here on FR.
The commonality is that both the Confederate South and modern Conservatives may have paid lip-service to most of those goals but then went and did the opposite.
They always have been. The DemoKKKrats were CREATED as a party to protect and defend slavery. That was their purpose. Jesus said you cannot get good fruit from a bad tree. There is NO “good” DemoKKKrat fruit. They are the slave party.
I know it is difficult for a Leftist troll like you to acknowledge but: A) RINOs are not modern Conservatives, B) to the extent that the Confederate central government did centralize power, not run a balanced budget, etc it was because they were faced immediately by an existential threat - namely the war of aggression for money and empire that Lincoln deliberately started.
And I know it's hard for a boob like you to acknowledge, but the Confederacy bore absolutely no relationship to the fantasy picture of it you paint.
Wrong. Slavery is pure evil. You sir should re-read history books.
Just as I know it is impossible for a lying Leftist troll like you to ever admit the truth.
Thank you for the relaxing Sunday morning thread....

The Confederate South believed one group of Americans was subhuman and had no rights. Enslaving any group, for any reason, is pure evil. Slavery is the biggest stain on America’s history.
Now, if you have a good master or king, it works.
On the other hand, we are all slaves to something. Bond slave or captured slave?
The Confederacy was a Spcalist state that nationalized whole industries, and had one of the biggest Governments ever. Stop your lost cause nonsence.
