agree 100%. no sane US president would ever go to war over Ukraine or any other former SSR. none of these 2nd world countries are even remotely critical to US security and we have almost no ability to project a supply chain to take on Russia.
the only way to deter Putin is to make it too painful for him to do it or to bribe him not to do it. Biden has failed in both regards, and the Euros were castrated decades ago. Ukraine might as well negotiate surrender and save its men and infrastructure.
