Ireland is set to scrap almost all its COVID-19 restrictions after coming though the storm of the Omicron variant that led to a massive surge in infections, Prime Minister Micheal Martin says.
Ireland had the second highest incidence rate of COVID-19 in Europe just last week but also one of the continent's highest uptake of booster vaccines, which has helped keep the number of seriously ill people well below the previous peak.

So now that is the U.K., Ireland and the Czech Republic in the last 24 hours.

Corona virus deaths in Ireland are slightly higher than they were during the seven months prior to the roll-out of the vaccines. Cases were WAY higher (several hundred percent) than before the vaccines.

Except Omicron hardly ever kills anybody. Therefore there is no “storm of Omicron variant”.

I was wondering how quickly the dominos would start falling after the UK announcement. Hopefully the trend will continue. Part of me feels the world was just waiting for someone to be the first so they could follow suit. You'd hope the US would have the balls to lead the way, but we're no longer Reagan's America...

England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France, and Italy. They probably will follow Ireland's lead .
South Africa is also a large Rugby country... so are Australia and New Zealand, but I doubt the last two I mentioned will follow anytime soon. 😒😔
