I read more about this and don’t think she was arrested. Apparently her parents were arrested, for what I don’t know, but if that’s true the child had to be cared for.

So the mother was arrested so the daughter would have to be detained until someone came to get her. Daughter was not arrested.

Are you okay with the parents/kids/ANYONE being ARRESTED over not having their papers, er, $hotcards, anywhere in America?

I was raised a conservative.
I was taught this about the police.
NEVER trust the police.
If at all possible, NEVER put yourself in a position where you have to trust the police.
Note, I grew up in the boonsdocks where the County Sheriff was king of his own little fiefdom.
The law was enforced on the basis of who you were and who you knew.
Kinda like that Murdaugh business in the low country of South Carolina.
These are the cops that need to be defunded.
