Jordan Peterson has something that Academia will NEVER have from me: Respect.
That man is someone I admire. I only became fully aware of him in the last 3-6 months. Of course I knew about him, but only after watching his videos, reading his opinion pieces, then finally reading his book, did I come to appreciate just what a remarkable man he is.
I hate to see this, him seeing them for what they are and upending his life because of their moral corruption. But each man has to make choices he can live with. I pray for him in this.
Academia has a problem; it is full of academics.
ACADEMIC (ak-uh-DEM-ik): An individual educated beyond his intelligence who is unwilling or unable to create or provide anything of value to others, who while hiding out in a think-tank, college or university pontificates and expects to be paid for it, usually from public funds.
When you discard merit in hiring you destroy the competence of an institution which leads to loss of confidence in those institutions. Its completely self destructive which may be the goal.
