The Senate has failed to end debate on voting rights legislation -- a move that would have required 60 votes to move toward final passage.
The vote was 49-51.
After another round of remarks on the Senate floor, there will be a second vote to change the Senate rules to allow the legislation to pass with a simple majority. That would require 51 votes and is also expected to fail.

Socialists never give up.
They refuse to be denied even when they lose.
Only solution is to take them out permanently. Only good socialist is the one fertilizing the field.

Letting Kemp and Rathensburger[sp...] run the Ga. Senate runoff elections has been a Yuge problem.

Don’t count on it! The nuclear option is next! I don’t trust them when they vote in the dark because I don’t trust our backstabbing RINOS!

So you have to fall back on superior firepower and superior intelligence. And that’s all she wrote.

51 - 49 means only 1 democrat voted no. Who was it?

No, it’s not dead. It’s a zombie that never quite gets shot in the head.
To: Joshua
Schumer voted No so he could bring it back up for the nuke option.

Schumer voted no, and Sinema and Manchin yes. Must have been a procedural thing and they already knew he voted against. Still confusing and nerve-wracking.
To: Tench_Coxe
Wait until they pass the new rule that dead Senators can vote, too.
