Senate fails to end debate on voting rights legislation ahead of filibuster vote

The Senate has failed to end debate on voting rights legislation -- a move that would have required 60 votes to move toward final passage.

The vote was 49-51.

After another round of remarks on the Senate floor, there will be a second vote to change the Senate rules to allow the legislation to pass with a simple majority. That would require 51 votes and is also expected to fail.

Its not going to be dead

Socialists never give up.

They refuse to be denied even when they lose.

Only solution is to take them out permanently. Only good socialist is the one fertilizing the field.

Don’t count on it! The nuclear option is next! I don’t trust them when they vote in the dark because I don’t trust our backstabbing RINOS!

Schumer voted no, and Sinema and Manchin yes. Must have been a procedural thing and they already knew he voted against. Still confusing and nerve-wracking.
