Sick and troubling. When I was young the world’s attitude was “never again”, now it’s becoming replaced by “let’s get it right this time around” . I used to think that than any of my Jewish friends voting for Democrats (which is about all of them) was crazy. Now I know that it is actually becoming suicidal.

It is. However, this woman appears "normal." She is well dressed, carrying an expensive Longchamp tote bag that retails for over $150. She appears to be a yuppie resident of the neighborhood on her way to work.
There is more to this story for sure. The neighborhood, Marine Park, used to be a solid blue-color, Italian-American neighborhood. The descendants of the Italians have long-since moved away to the suburbs.
Perhaps the new yuppie residents are unhappy that an ultra-orthodox (Hassidic) school has opened in a residential house in their neighborhood.
As in other parts of Brooklyn such as South Williamsburg and Crown Heights, there is conflict between the Ultra-Orthodox and the neighborhood residents.
I wonder if there is proof that the woman said what the boys claim she said.
I also wonder if the boys have spit at her in the past.
There are reports of Ultra Orthodox boys and men spitting at women who they perceive as being dressed immodestly.
New York has long been a place where new immigrants living in ethnic enclaves bumb elbows with adjacent ethnic enclaves as the population of one grows at the expense of the population of another.
Historically, these animosities only last one generation as the children become Americanized and move to the suburbs or to other parts of the country.
This doesn't appear to be happening with the Ultra-Orthodox insular communities because the culture keeps the children from assimilating.
Indeed, it's unlikely these boys even understand the English language well enough to know what the woman said.
As with the dearth of real racial incidents breeds fake Jessie Smolett style hoaxes, so is the dearth of actual anti-Hassid incidents breeding fake reports.
