I smell a rat. If US truckers wanted to fix this they could just stop delivering to DC. They have been as weak kneed as every other union trade. If that were not teue, they would not have accepted oobamas diesel tax and his green truck policies.
Less than 2% of truck drivers are unionized these days.
The old Teamsters domination of the trade was shut down by de-regulation of the 80s.
US truckers have largely been spared from the vaccine mandates; with supply lines already severely disrupted they don’t want to be viewed as the bad guys.
In other words, they are being “country first”.
