It would seem they made a deal, and it is what caused the delay with letting Nazarbayev out of his “secure location” :P
As a guess — the family will lose much of the assets but not all and the Bad Guy (of course there will be a designated main Bad Guy) will not be an immediate Nazarbayev’s relative.
One detail which I think TASS missed: Tokayev said that the money taken from the oligarchs (no details :( ) will go into a special fund to help ordinary people. Doing this will surely be of help with the genuine civil unrest part of the events.
Regardless this show is over :P
The next drama to watch in the post-Soviet space is Moldova. Pro-Romanian government right now, depends on gas from Russia, has a contract and does not have the money (both the West and the banks apparently refused to lend about 50 millions that are due tomorrow).
If there is a cutoff, it may get very interesting.
Agree, The West is forcing Moldova to choose Skyrocketing gas and energy prices with Woke and EnviroNazi rules or Russian Policy and affordable energy for all.
