Along with the man eating sharks and alligators, water moccasins, hurricanes, mosquitoes big as cats and unbearable heat this is another reason people should think twice about moving here.
Prayers out to those adversely affected.
We used to live about a mile from the area that was hit. It’s right before the Sanibel causeway bridge. The twister almost directly followed old McGregor Rd; along that road there’s several older mobile home parks that got slammed. Glad to hear there were no fatalities.
My youngest lives in Lee Co., roughly 20 miles from where some of the tornadoes hit. I didn’t even know anything about all of that until about 10:30 this morning. He said his area was fine, no power outage or anything. I do wish he’d tell me that sort of thing before I get worried.
And, our new home got hit with the snow storm. And 4 hours drive away - our current home, where we are right now, got hit with the snow storm. I had spent the past week trying to find someone in our new town to do snow removal since we are back and forth for a bit. FINALLY found someone today! Still snowing here in NY, but we didn’t get it too bad, maybe 6 inches.
