They should not be given that choice duty free. Tariffs will MAKE,FORCE,COERCE domestic industry produce low cost goods and compete with other domestic sources. Nobody wants the lowest possible price ( I will argue that the US consumer doer not see that price and the middle men eat up any profit gained through global labor arbitrage )if it means shipping jobs, economic viability and long tern survivle overseas.
