Didn't Trump say that it was up to the States but they wanted to lock down or not?

Yes, because a couple of states never shut down at all. I think South Dakota and Oklahoma didn’t and there may have been others.

Doesn’t really matter. Montana is far larger and less populated, and they shut down

That's rather silly. There's more people in Mecklenburg County (Charlotte, NC) than the entire state of Wyoming.

Simply due to population density and social distancing the virus would never had the opportunity to devastate the state like that unlike what we saw in Lombardy, Italy and New York City (and Wuhan, China despite the CCP trying to cover it up).

So after we saw what happened in those places, the rest of the world took steps to mitigate so those catastrophes won't be repeated elsewhere.

DeSantis made a comment wishing that he didn't follow Dr. Fauci's orders in March 2020. He forgot that we had no immunity to a novel disease.

Later in the summer it was a little bit different because we developed a little immunity by then and people who were high risk could stay at home to protect themselves.

Now we have herd immunity due to prior infections and vaccinations. Therefore, it appears to be on its way to becoming endemic.

Yes.

And he was threatened with impeachment if he tried to stop them.

Looks like our boy DeSantis is not dealing straight with Trump, after Trump got him elected.

"Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) said Thursday that he disagreed with then-President Trump’s decision to shut down the economy at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

DeSantis appeared on conservative podcast Ruthless, where he claimed that one of his biggest regrets in office is not speaking out “much louder” against the initial COVID-19 shutdown in March 2020."

That is just flat-out cowardly. 'Well, I meant to say it back then, but...' But what?

That Rush was saying it and so you sat on your tongue?? You somehow feared adding your voice to a resident of your state?!!

DuhSandwich won by just 32,463 votes out of 8,220,494 cast.

If that's not enough perspective, DuhSandwich barely beat a down-low, no-good, hopped-up jive meth addict by 0.4%. Think about that a loooong time.

DuhSandwich lost nearly ALL the Florida metros, from Rush's mansion all the way down to Key Largo, and got beat down in Orlando.

Gonna regret talking shit about President Trump. We just saw Cruz shoot himself in the foot just a week ago, and now DuhSandwich says, "Hold muh beer. Watch this."

Keep it up, Florida Man, you and your followers will be as radioactive on FR as the Tedlims.

DeSantis is clearly being setup as the next Ted Cruz to undermine Trump. If DeSantis runs in 2024 against Trump, we will know he is a traitor.

They both "have it". But DeSantis is more likely to win in the general election. Trump is damaged goods at this point. The swamp got him.

DeSantis is as boring as every other "true conservative" that came before him: Cruz, Saint Rick Santorum, etc., and will lose accordingly. And I've seen no evidence that DeSantis will actually carry on Trump's policies on trade and immigration. I have a funny feeling, considering who is promoting him, that he talks the big talk but not much else.

Trump is the candidate.

So did I but, I wasn’t the President and wasn’t faced with terrible consequences if I made the wrong decision.

So, he disagreed. I still love both Trump and Desantis.

Why don’t you give it a rest! You have this hard-on for DeSantis that borders on psycho! Any DeSantis thread, and you’re sure to show up frothing at the mouth!

DuhSandwich

Love it!! And thanks for the stats, I forgot how tiny his margin of victory was. It’s like Biden in Wisconsin/Arizona/Georgia.

I did, too, but a lot of the blame falls on individual governors, like lockdown larry of the PRM (Peoples Republic of Maryland).
