REED TIMMER'S NEWEST STORM UPDATE showed your area so I just had to share this with you! LOL! Sounds brutal!! Stay warm, safe and dry. Hope you don't lose power or internet!

It’s not going to be a fun weekend at all. It’ll be bad enough here but the Carolinas are going to have it worse than we will. Ice storms are horrible.
We’ll have ice, then the wet heavy snow on top of it so things could get dicey.

We’re as prepared as we can be and just have to hope for the best. If we can escape a power outage, we’re good as gold. Generators at the ready, just in case.

I’m so glad you have generators! That will help. Guess if we don’t see you tonight, it’ll be because Comcast failed again, huh. Stay warm!

Things should be alright tonight. The ugly isn’t supposed to hit here until well after midnight when the temps drop.
We’ve just had a cold drizzly rain this afternoon but that’s going to get heavier. The storm’s really sucking up moisture from the Gulf now.

We’ll see about tomorrow. The generators will only be used for the central unit, the fridge, and the freezers. The more you run off of them, the faster they use fuel so we won’t use them for lights and the computers.
With luck, we won’t need them at all.

Well they’ve increased the snow expected as the snow band going right through here...so will be 10 inches to a foot now. Which really is a normal winter snow storm...but I think the ice and winds are going to make it bad to be in if you have to be out and about.

That’s a long drive to work....I lived 15 minutes away from job. However steep and long hill to get there I always worried about. It’s bad when cars slide backwards down the hill!

I’d be totally stopped if I had had to travel up OR down a hill to get to and from work. We did that when we lived in Germany, but we also kept chains on our tires most of the time during the winter because it was nearly always snowing.
