One year after the storming of the Capitol, six out of 10 Americans believe the country's democracy is in danger of collapse, according to a poll released Wednesday.
Seventy-six percent of those surveyed in the poll by Quinnipiac University said they think political instability in the United States is a bigger danger than foreign threats.
A majority of those polled -- 58 percent -- said they think the nation's democracy is in danger of collapse. Thirty-seven percent disagreed.

The American “democracy” already failed.
The guy who LOST the election in a landslide is currently in charge of the nuclear codes, the nuclear weapons, and has the right to spontaneously order the USAF into the sky to obliterate targets around the globe.
The second in command is a person who has only a bad interpretation of the 14th amendment allowing her to remain in the United States. In fact, she was essentially raised in Canada since her mother was forced to self deport. There is no precedent in our nation’s history for such a person to be anywhere near the Presidency.
So it’s over and we live in some sort of weird, despotic oligarchy where a brazen bureaucratic class (the “Deep State”) now rules. Elections are pre-programmed, and are the outcome of behind the scences negotiations among this group.
It’s everything my ancestors fought against. Far worse then the relatively benign monarchy of the time.
And it ain’t gonna git better. Any attempt to change it is met with the treatment Trump got: phony charges, madmen like Mueller barking insane BS at him, nutz ‘n’ slutz coming out of the wood work to make absurd accusations, phony “Americans” wearing military uniforms but loyal to their home countries trying to make mountains out of molehills...the Oligarchy has many tricks of their trade to employ.
It’s just downhill from here. Maybe it breaks up like the USSR, but that will only come after economic collapse.

And why? It is the fault of government indoctrination centers and low-IQ, poorly informed teachers. I was fortunate to have a father what was very educated. My sister and I would be deprogrammed at the dinner table every night. I seem to recall a number of conversations about democracy. When I read that word today, it has nothing but negative connotations. I credit my father for that because that was not what I was taught in school back in the 70's. Democracy was presented as a great ideal and form of government.
But not all for the same reasons!...........................
To Liberals, “Democracy” means ruling by a ‘mandate of the masses’ (whoever they are). They just *know* what the masses want, no need for “bourgeois” elections.
