My sympathies for the children of course, but also for the police who had to go in there and observe the scene.
I don’t think police typically drive around with Hazmat suits and face shields.

Makes me wonder why the state was investigating the biological mother. It's possible she was as bad as the stepmother. It's also possible the stepmother made false allegations about the biological mother to try to take away the kids.

Wouldn't be the first time.

I called CPS on someone once. I still feel guilty about it, but also I feel that I could have done nothing else and retain a clear conscience overall. I called like three times on the same case asking what to do before I reported the address.
