personally i worked around trial and pdufa fda data (non-medical professional) for years. you get a feel for how the fda is on trial design, adverse event follow-up, etc. it is quite clear to me the agency is making sure nothing adverse ever gets into the data on these (what little data we have).
My work has sometimes been impacted by FDA decisions that literally take years upon years to reach for non-life-threatening procedures. The fact that they rushed this through in such a rapid, shoddy way sends up so many red flags. People need to be held accountable for this mess.

the scary part is the bureaucrats and politicians are all-in on this. they will never be officially wrong, and that leads to the easy conclusion that what is happening already in many countries is not happening here yet nationwide due to that pesky federal system.
if they get the voting bill through, it will replace southern governments and texas/florida will be sanity havens no longer.
