The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is reportedly considering altering its masking guidance to recommend individuals wear “highly protective N95 or KN95 masks,” the Washington Post reported on Monday.
Citing an official “close to the deliberations who was not authorized to speak publicly,” the Post reported that the federal health agency is considering the recommendation change in the wake of the highly contagious omicron variant, despite the fact that it appears to be a more mild form of the illness.

If only there were a mask that stopped breathing entirely. Air is too risky.

You should be able to buy serviceable, re-usable, and proper masks for about four bucks/each. Try 3M, Moldex, MSA, for starters, all US made brands. There are different types of elastic straps so be thoughtful.

They also need to be fit-tested or their effecacy is near zero. And they are NOT appropriate for children

3M must’ve promised a sizable campaign contribution.

I have something that works with how I work the mask I use has a breathing respirator capability.
I move quickly to do my work I am on my feet its better than cloth I figured that out quick at beginning.
Years ago I did work that involved spraying compressed air on dirty light fixtures and had to wear an industrial type N95 mask.
I was stirring up dust particles everywhere.
I remembered it when this COVID crap came down and took some off the shelf at work and went to work with them eventually went out and purchased my own supply.
They are sold at Home Depot.
I still “snot up” from time to time with these industrial N95 masks and have to blow my nose.
But I breathe better.

The N95 boxes I picked up and read said "Does not protect against viruses, cold, flu or Covid-19"..
But I guess that is irrelevant, politics over science.

From your link:
He also says increased sneezing can be a sign that individuals should change their masks more often.
Don't wait for the vomiting and seizures.

When I posted this back in July of 2020, I had a Freeper call me a hysterical Drama Queen. I find it interesting to read this now, given all we have seen:
IT'S JUST A MASK.
- It’s just a mask.
- It’s just six feet.
- It’s just two weeks.
- It’s just non-essential businesses.

On top of which they have to be fit tested and donned and doffed properly or they are worthless. Facial hair renders them worthless as well Even properly fit and worn i’m not sure they do much to prevent covid

Not correct. an N95 properly fit tested and worn as it should will not be loose. You will have significant marks on your face when you take it to off

I’ve been saying this from the beginning. No marks unless N95 or KN95.

I said it from day one. The cloth masks are garbage

I’d like to cram all those cloth masks down the throats of all the cloth mask wearing sheep who gave me the stink eye.
These days when I have to wear a mask, I proudly wear a cloth mask below my nose.
