I would say the FBI is worst than Islamic terrorists, at least the Islamic terrorists don’t camouflage themselves as your friends - they’re easier to spot and have less power.
I was watching the GA/Alabama game last night but switched back and forth to the movie - Richard Jewell. I had no idea that was a Clint Eastwood production but showed his great talent.
Probably saw more of the movie than the game but I couldn’t believe what the FBI put Jewell and his mother through. Carted every thing possible out of their apartment; his mother’s tupperware, videos she used for the children she babysat for - even Jewell’s guns - like they had any role in their suspicion of him being the Olympic bomber.
He was asked by his attorney if he had any guns and he said, “a couple” and his mother said, “This is Georgia. He’s a hunter.”
They were expecting/waiting for the FBI to come search the apartment and his attorney told him to put his weapons on his bed so there wouldn’t be any surprises. He had quite a few...
It was eight years before they finally gave him up as a suspect. He died just a few short years after that. The role of his attorney was played by an excellent actor. Picked him as he was the only one he knew - used to work as a stock boy at a law firm where he met him.
At one point when they had to enter a room at the local FBI office for a meeting with two agents, Jewell said something about being nervous about going into a room with the government - and his attorney said, “They’re not the government. They’re just two pricks who work for the government.”
That was just a blip for the rest of us in 1996 until the FBI gave up when they caught Rudolph for the bombing
but little did we know we would be reminded how rotten the FBI could be in later years. At this point after what we’ve seen since 2012, there is no HOPE that it will ever be reformed.

We watched and were also disgusted by the arrogant assclowns depicted in the movie. Now it appears that assclownery is the common thread. SWAT teams, APCs. Oh, and brandon let us know F-15s and nukes are available if needed.

I didn’t need to miss ANY of the movie bouncing back and forth like I did last night because the game is being shown again on TV here in Metro Atlanta...I’m not sure if it’s the entire game or not.. When I did switch back and forth, I missed how the score changed. I should watch but I know how it ended anyway.
I have been meaning to look up that news reporter and see how she ended up...Scruggs for AJC - that’s a stinking newspaper anyway - figures!
