Appearing on the Fox News Channel, Gristedes CEO John Catsimatidis warned of a possible shortage of meat and eggs as a growing number of Omicron coronavirus variant cases puts pressure on the supply chain in the United States.

Well keep those poppy seeds coming.
XD
Note that I got that idea from a restaurant I worked in many years ago. The fresh eggs would be cracked and used for the grill (i.e. omelettes) but the older eggs would be boiled and sliced/chopped up for salads. Because they peeled easier.
You can get powdered eggs.
I think they probably work just as good, although I admit... we haven’t cracked a can open yet.
It’s a double edged sword though.
One chainsaw accident or heart attack and the further out you are...
Don’t get me wrong though, nothing I like better than being a long way away from people.
Lazamataz, Have you tried this?
“..The democrats are responsible for all of this, not “omicron” or whatever other bullshit they are pushing....”
^THIS^
Isn’t living with these communist bassturds just wonderful? /S
The suspects are Bill Ayers, Bill Gates, Odongo and all his evil ilk which includes Fauxi. They want to kill off half the country by whatever means possible. They’ve been wanting to do it and have talked about it for years....so here we are.
What is the point of having shelves if there is nothing on them?
True.
“You pay a little more”
About a year-and-a-half ago I figured it close to be three times more per dozen for the boutique customized Gentry farmer chicken eggs. Chicken eggs. Not duck, quail, or goose. Chicken.
“...Yep we are seeing it in Scottsdale.”
Where even the drinking water is trucked in.
No, I just grab them from the local farms. Most of the eggs still have the bloom and are even smeared with chicken feces. But that's the way I like them.
“One chainsaw accident or heart attack and...
It doesn’t even have to be complicated...fall down in your driveway collecting you garbage can from the curb....and detach your quad from your knee cap or fall down a couple of stairs and boom... shattered wrist.
Hit a divet mowing the yard... torn ACL.
Boom. Compound fracture, 4 broken (not cracked) ribs.
And that’s without even trying. Throw in some weather and.... “Jack you dead”
My local grocery store can’t get carmels. Wife couldn’t make me Carmel Bars. Bummer.
“I thought they’d lay year round if you put in daylight bulbs in their coop.”
We have about 75 - 80 chickens right now.
They need a regular 16 hours of light. We have lights on timers in our coups to give them regular light all year round.
Production does drop some in the cold weather, but the bigger affect for us is they eat a lot more, and we can’t free range them when there’s snow on the ground. Chickens will not step on snow, even if there is green grass on the other side. Subsequently, our feed costs go up. And because they will not leave the coop, we have to clean it much more often.
So it takes more time a money in the winter, but ours lay about 50 - 60 eggs a day pretty consistently.
There’s no shortage of meat here, but the beef is priced too high to seriously consider buying.
Haven’t seen an egg shortage since the beginning of the pandemic.
There is a cat food shortage, and it’s been going on since last April.
Well, there’s always Ramen..
NOT TULIPS. Would be just a crushing blow to Covid/ China beatdown northerners. Good grief—say ya ain’t gonna let it happen lunchbucket. America is on the ropes.
Boy, that’s the truth.
