A swimmer who represented Great Britain at the last Paralympic Games says he is "sick to death" of being laughed at because of his dwarfism.
Will Perry, from Northamptonshire, said there was a "big party" after Tokyo 2020, but once the celebrations ended the abuse started again.
He has a common form of dwarfism called achondroplasia and said people like him were often filmed or laughed at in the street. The 21-year-old has called on people to challenge those doing it.
He said: "With dwarfism, I face a lot of public abuse. I believe it happens because in so many films and on social media, we're depicted in a comical way, we're described as funny characters."

Second time in as many hours a pertinent thread to post Norm MacDonald’s - “Midget Joke”.

That’s true but notice where he was walking round (equivalent of main street or town center) was DESERTED.
That is due to COVID hysteria. No one out shopping etc.
I didn’t want to be berated on my 24th birthday by an off-duty cop who saw me park in a handicapped space while I was on my way to hemodialysis. I stopped at the grocery store while on my way to pick up something to eat during so I wouldn’t get heartburn.
I didn’t want to be approached at the pharmacy by a nosy Karen who said, “You’re deaf, right?” after seeing me park in a handicapped space after dialysis.
I also didn’t want my subclavian catheter commented on or stared at when I was barely 100lbs. at 21 years old.
Suck. It. Up. They have no 1A, and that’s why they’re all offended by everything. They’ve never had to endure all the crap under hate speech laws, so they’re weak as a people.

He once said his stature really bothered him in his youth, but he pressed on.
Now he’s a multimillionaire and award winning actor.
However I don’t think any one of you who made snide and insulting remarks would change places with him.......he’s 4ft 5inches.......

I’ve been noticing that on a lot of threads lately. That and an increase in trolling.
Yup. The bitterness(for lack of a better word) and trolling is out of control around here.
