A FReeper on another thread a few days ago said we shouldn’t worry about things like this.

Bill Filed In Washington Would Authorize ‘Strike Force’ To ‘Involuntarily Detain’ Unvaccinated Families: ‘They Have Already Set Up The Internment Camps’
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com ^ | January 8, 2022 | Alicia Powe

The Washington State Legislature is slated to vote on a measure that will authorize the involuntary detainment of residents as young as 5 years old in “Covid-19 concentration camps, for failing to comply with the state’s experimental vaccine mandate.

If passed, WAC 246-100 will allow local health officers at “his other sole discretion” to “issue an emergency detention order causing a person or group of persons to be immediately detained for purposes of isolation or quarantine.”

Health officers are required to provide documentation proving unvaccinated residents subject to detention have denied “requests for medical examination, testing, treatment, counseling, vaccination, decontamination of persons or animals, isolation, quarantine and inspection and closure of facilities” prior to involuntarily confining unvaccinated residents in quarantine facilities, the proposal states.

The measure also allows health officers to deploy law enforcement officials to assist with the arrest of uncompliant Washington residents.

Freepers here have pointed out a whole of things we shouldn’t worry about. Almost all of them have indeed happened since. This not worrying about them and ignoring them is not working out at all...

Meh. It’s not the law yet.

Yet. Maybe never, or maybe just not yet.

A FReeper on another thread a few days ago said we shouldn’t worry about things like this.

We should be very concerned about things like this. Law or not, it has been proposed, right?

It is an indication of what they would like to do, powers they would like to have. For now. They want even more power.

People here have had it so good for so long it is all too easy for us to make a couple of deadly mistakes. We end to thing certain things in history are dead and gone. We tend to think bad things only happen in other places at other times.

As bad as the tyrants of old were - what makes anyone think there are no more people like that? There are always people like that. Fortunately they rarely rise to power, but when they do the effects are horrific.

As bad as the tyrants of old were - what makes anyone think those kind of people only exist in other Countries? We have criminals of every other stripe, fascist tyrants are no different.

Bonus mistake. Thinking "it can't happen here." Bet the German people in 1932 or so would've said the same thing. No-one thinks it could happen until it is.

It is happening right here, right now. Our freedoms and liberties, the very foundations of our Country are under assault. Three years ago, who would have thought they could be fired for not participating in an experimental drug trial? Who would've thought their travel, healthcare, access to businesses could be restricted? They're not even hiding it - they're proclaiming it. Bammy came right out and said he wanted to "fundamentally transform America." He did not mean for the better by any definition you or I would accept as "better." They have been increasingly open in their assaults on American and the Constitution. Things are going to get worse before they get better, and they will only get better if we decide to make them better.

Worrying about things doesn’t solve anything. It only add stress.

The Italians have a saying:

“If there is a remedy, why worry?

If there is not a remedy, why worry?”

So what is the remedy?

Sigh.

This has been the law since 2003.

Every State has some version of this.

This has nothing to do with COVID, nor are there concentration camps.

The legislature isn’t voting on anything, 246-100-040 has been the law since 2003.

This has NOTHING to do with vaccinations alone at all. Merely being unvaccinated and not currently exposed infected or contaminated in a way that can transmit to others doesn’t fit (1)(b).

People should adopt a rule that says if it’s posted as a meme on Facebook or Twatter then it’s presumed false until proven otherwise.

It absolutely is the law. It’s been the law since 2003.

Every State has a version of this.

It doesn’t do what the trailer park crowd thinks.

The Grifter Pundit version is a lie.

The legislature isn’t voting on anything.

Texas has a version of this that mirrors much of the language and has been the law much longer.

Not caring or addressing them to prevent stress doesn’t fix them either. How do we like this little world we have created for ourselves because we didn’t address things when they needed to be addressed? “Don’t worry be happy” isn’t going to save this country or our grandkid’s future.

Do we care about more than just our own personal stress? That is why the country is now lost. We were selfish and didn’t do anything. I am sure glad our founding fathers stressed a bit for us...

Naw, you all are totally right. Left off the /s

Just poking my buddy Catherd, who was arguing the other day we shouldn’t worry about that NY law that was in committee which would have allowed the Gov to put people into quarantine camps.

And now, there’s this. Just a couple days later.
