This doesn’t seem like a bad decision. I think he keeps all his rights and it acts as a deterrent. It is something he shouldn’t have done. Kyle’s mom could and should have purchased it for him if she thought it was OK. That is what parents are for.
I stand (I’m sitting) corrected. If he keeps his rights, he did the right thing.
If I remember correctly the rifle was delivered to Kyle’s dad and not Kyle.
And the rifle was kept at Kyle’s dad’s home.
I think that most people would agree that there is nothing illegal in that arrangement.
The deaths that occurred were completely legal as far as I am concerned.
