The significance of Dr. Spencer's data is that it directly refutes warmists' claims. Warmists claim that carbon is trapping solar heat in the lower atmosphere. However, warmists only present their own highly-manipulated surface temperatures as evidence. Dr. Spencer has compiled directly-gathered temperatures showing that atmospheric temperatures are NOT warming in any pattern consistent with the global warming model.

The Left's own Antarctic Vostok ice core data shows that changes in atmospheric temperature do NOT follow changes in atmospheric carbon. Changes in atmospheric carbon follow changes in temperature by about 800 years. The medieval warming period happened about 800 years ago. The fact that it didn't happen in our lifetimes doesn't mean that it doesn't affect us.

Warmists are WRONG. The atmosphere doesn't the way they say it works.

Up until a few years ago (3 or 4?) one of the Climate Porn crowd's big chants was "the Antarctic ice self is melting".

But then NASA announced that several (can't recall how many) active volcanoes had been discovered under that ice shelf.

Since then we haven't heard a word about that ice shelf.
