That’s precisely why the government now requires all transactions of more than $600 to be reported directly to the IRS. They’re scared of the new economy.

Like it or not, the GOP is the only opposition force we have. If this issue comes up (attacks on freelancers), write to your Congress critters, work on primarying those who are useless and also work on elections.

Remember, it’s all a numbers game in the legislature. The reason the Dems are so powerful is that they have a majority, even though it’s a very tiny one. If the GOP had gotten a majority of seats, even with a couple of traitors such as Cheney and Murkowski, we wouldn’t be in this situation.

Furthermore, the Dems got the presidency by cheating, so they know they’re not legitimate and thus they are cracking down on dissent by exercising dictatorial powers. The GOP, weak as it is, is our only defense and we have got to get legislative majorities in 2022 or it’s all over.

Freelancing is the last vestige of entrepreneurship. Flexible workers prefer to operate independently and with limited interference from the government

Since advancing the sentiments in this statement can't profit the Republican Congressional and Senatorial delegations, they will not bother.

I thought it was $950.

Oh wait - that’s a different transaction.

Should a RN in experienced in pediatrics be able to open her own storefront without a doctor in the building hovering over her?

Then there’s the dental technician/hygienist. Can they open their own office?

Ok. How about separating dentists One nothing but exams who then makes a list of what’s needed so the patient can go shopping for the treatment.

Break up big medicine!

Rip jobs. GOP will have to start fighting for everyone. Everybody will be a 'freelancer' at this point.

Most of these “free lancers” voted for Democrats in overwhelming numbers. I am sorry but they reep what they sow.

Then we have nothing in the GOP. As 2020 demonstrated. And as has been demonstrated for years going back, not just with Paul Ryno blocking Trump’s agenda.

Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

— Communist goal #15
Like I said, we are already in “this situation”, with the help of the majority of the GOP; not just those who are openly RINOs. That is how the GOP “lost” the majority in the House in 2018 too; remember what is meant by “Kabuki theater”.

You mean the “big medicine” that the RINOs fought so valiantly to keep in place in spite of their re-election promises?

You’ve got to move on and stop holding grudges. Put their feet to the fire if they’re you reps or senators, and especially if they’re primary candidates.

But if we don’t have the numbers, we have nothing.

Also, remember, some people find their courage only later in the battle. But only if they think it matters. Make it matter.

We don’t have the numbers; an increase in RINOs is the same as an increase in Democrats. The evidence is all around you.

Opus?

Yep. These townhall writers seem to have a lot more energy than GOP swampers. Maybe they should run for office?

For Pete’s sake. The only thing is numbers. Even lamebrain McConnell got the worst of the worst lined up to vote against things that could have killed us.

If he hadn’t had the numbers, he couldn’t have done it...and if he had had more numbers, he would have been much braver.

Politicians aren’t leaders...although they may think they are. We elected them, and they answer to us.

THere was a poll of “free lancers” who included writers, Uber (Lyft, etc.) drivers, and other non affiliated workers and 63% voted for Joe Biden who happens to be a Democrat.

Numbers of RINOs? Had those, and they still voted for big government. Fool me once, et cetera.

Stop deluding yourself that totalitarians regard themselves as accountable to you or any other ordinary citizen merely because you/we elected them. Just like The Party in 1984, they accumulate power solely for its own sake.

And now, making excuses for McConnell, whose typical “bravery” consists of attacking constitutional conservatives? Opus?
