Another example of black lives not mattering to leftists & teacher unionistas (in the case of CPS is probably majority black!).

Pay us to sit at home. Or else.

Pay us to winter in the Caribbean.

They should give them 1 day to decide to come back and then fire them.

Do a Reagan!

Start hiring non union teachers. As a matter of fact start hiring smart people who don’t have a teachers certificate. Retired military, editors, people who lost ve literature or math or science. The kids would probably be better educated.

Why does anyone stay in Chicago?

Teachers seem to have a good gig

Considering how the Chicago schools are, this means less harm to children.

True they aren't getting an education and the taxpayers are still paying for it, but that was the case before all this.

Teacher unions and their pet teachers are like Democrats and slaughtering unborn babies to increase their power. What happens to kids educations are no concern to the union biggies as long as they get their demands met.

Online teaching is horrible. I paid a lot of my own money on internet, software systems, a whiteboard. My school never compensated me for it. I don’t know why any teacher wants to teach online. It is miserable and expensive.

“I don’t know why any teacher wants to teach online. It is miserable and expensive.”

It’s a HORRIBLE platform for teacher/student dynamics ESPECIALLY for kids still in developmental stages.

Zoom or Google Meet works OK for motivated adults who already have social skills, and just need a forum to get taught some information; it’s ABOMINABLE for little kids to reduce their teacher to a video window on a Chromebook.

My youngest daughter LOVES her teachers — all except the one she had during “distance learning” whom she never met in person.

They don’t care about that the real tragedy is these poor parents that are working and now they can’t work without paying for a babysitter

For sure they don’t have the balls to advocate for Chicago to pull a Reagan, and fire them all, but that’d be the face-peeling move I’d prescribe, here.

“YOU’RE IN THE CLASSROOM, OR YOU’RE FIRED!”

No third option.

Teachers who don’t want to teach and kids who don’t want to learn. What could go wrong?

I’m seeing an influx of Chicagoland folks to the Jax, FL area. This is new. Traditionally those folks stuck to the gulf side of FL and we on the east coast of FL got the NYers. Now we get the “best” of both worlds. Ha ha.

Those teachers are so damn lazy!

Late summer of 2020 I said that to my physical therapist after hip surgery. Turns out, the fat pig on the table next to me was a (lazy) teacher. Oops!
