Kazakh protesters torch public buildings; emergency declared, Cabinet resigns

Kazakhstan declared emergencies in the capital, main city and provinces on Wednesday after demonstrators stormed and torched public buildings, the worst unrest for more than a decade in a tightly controlled country that promotes an image of stability.

The Cabinet resigned but that failed to quell the anger of the demonstrators, who have taken to the streets in response to a fuel price increase from the start of the new year.

An Instagram live stream by a Kazakh blogger showed a fire blazing in the office of the Almaty mayor, with apparent gunshots audible nearby. Videos posted online also showed the nearby prosecutor’s office burning.

Farther down in the article:

"Kazakhstan’s reputation for political stability under three decades of one-man rule by former leader Nursultan Nazarbayev helped it attract hundreds of billions of dollars of foreign investment in its oil and metals industries."

So are the Globalist Marxist trying to take back control of Kazakhstan wealth?

Perhaps the January 6th commission should see what a real insurrection looks like. Send them the video.

Apparently so, Western Europe's Green Policy changes to spot LNG purchase skyrocketed prices of all fuels, LPG, Gasoline, Diesel.

Kazkahs got many times the stones as the average American schlub. And the way these filthy democrats whine about a crowd of tourists visiting the capitol on January 6th.

Perhaps the January 6th commission should see what a real insurrection looks like. Send them the video.

According to the article:

"Atameken, Kazakhstan’s business lobby group, said its members were reporting attacks on banks, stores and restaurants."

I think this group more closely resembles BLM and Antifa, therefore the January 6th "Committee" would consider sending the video an act of "Insurrection".

Maybe this too, but the timing suggests something else.

An overthrow of the Kazakh government would greatly help Biden's negotiations with Putin which are about to happen. Thus, a rushed an attempt, very similar to the attempted and failed coup in Belorus recently.

Right this moment it appears that the government will be able to survive --- unless there is a parallel plot within the elite. If the government does survive, it will move the country yet closer to Russia and possibly China too.

Also to notice:

Turkey expressed support to the Kazakh government (no, I would not expect them to interfere).

There is no leader at all among the protesters! (one must have a leader, even a fake one, to succeed)

Finally.. the firing of the government by the president should not be seen as too significant, the country is ruled by the president, and not having ministers around gives him more options.

Funny enough, I know a bit about affairs in Kazakhstan because of their Pro Tour bicycle racing team. They are often in turmoil. (You can certainly find off-beat stuff on the internet.)

Not my circus either; but I’m still interested and grateful for information, such as this, which I find nowhere but here on FR.

I think that’s why many of us value even the obscure articles we read here.

I’ve been to Kazakhstan twice, but never got to leave the airport. Once, we transported three Gitmo releases to Almaty from Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan. The second time we picked up a contingent of Kazak troops and transported them back to Bagram.

Wow that’s cool.
Do Gitmo releases get a “Club Gitmo” souvenir shirt?
