Reuters photographer Leah Millis was covering a rally for then-President Donald Trump on Jan. 6, 2021 when she received a text from her colleague Tom Brenner at 1:06 p.m.
Four chaotic hours later, she captured the exact moment a flash-bang grenade, fired by law enforcement to disperse protesters, illuminated the Capitol steps, throwing tear-gas smoke into sharp relief and casting a shadow of the American flag onto the iconic dome. The image reverberated across the United States and abroad in 2021. Media outlets and Congress have used it to emphasize the gravity of the day and to illustrate a symbol of democracy under siege.

I think she just got lucky with catching the exact moment that one or two flash bangs were going off simultaneously. In the video, she says she climbed that tower and was on there for about an hour before the reinforcements came and started to break up the protest. If it had been a real insurrection that was even half-assed organized the capitol police would not have had all that time to react.
She’s a Reuters photog. IMO it wasn’t an accident: she was put in position there and the flash bangs were set partly for the photo op.

Millis has a background with a “street photography collective” called Burn My Eye and she has a habit of showing up at violent Black Lives Matter protests, such as:
Reuters photographer Leah Millis said she was one of a group of journalists detained by law enforcement while reporting on a protest in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, on the night of April 16, 2021.
Several hundred protesters marched to the Brooklyn Center Police Department in response to the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Daunte Wright, a Black man, by a white police officer during a traffic stop. Wright’s death, on April 11, occurred as a former police officer in nearby Minneapolis was on trial in the death of George Floyd, rekindling a wave of protests against racial injustice and police brutality that had started nearly a year earlier. . .

More questions to have a Republican-controlled House/Congress ask at their hearings after November’s elections.
In fact Creepers, write this idea down on you “First things to do” list after November’s elections and send them to you trusted congressperson and the newly elected real conservatives.
It will let them know that you want REAL investigations into Steelgate, ImpeachmentGate, HillaryGate, and Antifa/BLMgates
as well as Jan4thgate.
None of that will happen without a pro Trump Speaker.
Step 1 is McCarthy. Make no mistake on this. The sooner we start counting Speaker votes and informing the wavering votes, before primary season, the better.
It’s easy. If a GOP seat is strongly held, inform them they will be primaried unless they select a staunchly pro Trump leader and reject McCarthy. And they will commit to this before the primary.
Excellent catch, thank you.
