In New Mexico, Spanish/Mexican heritage goes back 400 years and as a result of BLM/Antifa and a radical governor and city officials, many of these traditions have been canceled and statutes removed including those in Santa Fe. Now while on the surface all seems fine, I’m sure that many native Hispanics agree with that lady at the statue that their history should not be erased though some of it is checkered.

With the proper advertising, both a primary and general election Dem candidate like the Soros-sponsored one should be able to be targeted successfully. Many New Mexicans with that history are fully fed up with the radical eco-nuts in Santa Fe derailing good paying oilfield jobs and preventing them from moving into America’s middle class. The large Republican win in NM district 2 in 2020 was fueled by the state’s Latino population knowing that their job depends on continued oil drilling and production. In the rest of the state, they are a force that decries removal of their long history. Though Dems are a majority in NM, they are no different than any other group who rebel when their lives and livelihoods are threatened.

I was amazed when New Mexico became the fourth largest oil and gas producing state a couple years ago.

I had no idea the Permian Basin extended that far into into NM.

I have a brother who lives in Santa Fe, but we are not close.

My optimism about the Hispanic vote has always been low.

I think in 2012 Albuquerque voted on a local initiative to outlaw third term abortions.

The demented WSJ editorial page and Open Border Republicans went bananas over the prospect of thousands of "Cultural Conservative" Hispanics coming out of the closet.

From memory, retaining late term abortions won by 65%!
