The European Commission is facing a furious backlash over plans to allow gas and nuclear to be labelled as “green” investments, as Germany’s economy minister led the charge against “greenwashing”.
The EU executive was accused of trying to bury the proposals by releasing long-delayed technical rules on its green investment guidebook to diplomats on New Year’s Eve, hours before a deadline expired.
The draft proposals seen by the Guardian would allow gas and nuclear to be included in the EU “taxonomy of environmentally sustainable economic activities”, subject to certain conditions.
The taxonomy is a classification system intended to direct billions to clean-energy projects to meet the EU goal of net zero emissions by 2050.

Let then go all green with wind and solar - maybe the winter blackouts will cause a certain group accustomed to warmer climes to return home.
Few effluents created assuming the proper fissionable material, say, Thorium.

I know, but nuclear works to power an economy. If it’s labeled green the commies can’t take it away. They are working toward an agenda here and this is going to make it harder for them.

That is because their idiotic proposals to be “all green” by 2030 or some BS like that will be exposed for the stupidity it is.
They can’t afford to get Pansed in the public domain for all to see, right?
So they change the definition. It’s what they do.
"Green" energy never was and now "non-green" energy will be called "green".
Did those who sold the lie of "green" energy really expect truth from others?

Another reality is that oil and natural gas come from the earth. Pumped from the ground.
The refining process for oil, to change into fuel for Anne ignite is just that, a process.
Putin’s gas, being natural, is Green and why one asks is because Putin gets it out of the ground for them. Some of the biggest companies on Earth and in every nation are energy companies providing gas. The companies that provide electric are going to need nuclear. Micro nuke plants will work.
They just buy puffier down jackets.
I’m still amazed that after importing Somalians, they resettle them in two of the coldest places in the country, Maine and Minnesota.

Excellent observation, however I believe it’s not just socialists, but all dictatorial regimes (communists and fascists, too).
Controlling the language is fundamental to their ability to control conversation and dictate what the “truth” is and is very effective for dominating the weak minded.
The CDC’s recent revision of the definition of “vaccine” which excludes the word “immunity” is a perfect and relevant example.
I agree with you. The label is irrelevant. Only university indoctrinators try to define and redefine each system as unique. (Socialism is not communism. Fascism is not socialism. Democratic socialism is not economic socialism.)
Etc, etc, etc.
This is all meant to divide and keep us confused.
The people of Italy did not see a big difference between Mussolini and Hitler. But one was a fascist and the other a NAZI (not a socialist, according to the indoctrinators)
The FACT is that all these systems are nothing more than a single person, family or group that is trying to gain power and wealth over a nation. Monarchs, dictators and all the others included.
Their goal is always the same....take power for themselves, enrich themselves and see how long you can maintain control over the masses.
That’s one way to meet their goals. Talk about moving goal posts…

The whole green label is BS as far as I’m concerned. There are two labels I avoid on anything I purchase because I figure I’m just paying a premium for that claim. One is “green” and the other is “organic”.
