Putin outsmarts EU as new China gas deal to pump 'same amount' as banned German pipeline

RUSSIAN President Vladimir Putin is reportedly in the final stages of making a deal with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on building a new pipeline that could further worsen Europe's gas crisis.

The agreement would double exports to China, transporting up to fifty billion cubic metres more natural gas every year via a major new planned pipeline - Power of Siberia 2. This comes as the rest of Europe reels from a major energy crisis, with prices climbing to a new record last week, up almost 800 percent since the start of the year. The EU's energy crisis has intensified in the past weeks after nuclear reactors were halted in France, with Germany recording low wind power output.

How dare Russia sell their gas to others!

They are supposed to sell their gas cheaply until the globalist leftists decide its time to dismember them! That’s how things are supposed to work!

Been saying all along, China will be glad to buy as much gas as Russia wants to sell them. Sanctions? Who cares.

This calls for more sanctions.

Actually, I like the Russia China deal.

Germany would have become way too dependent upon political blackmail from Russia. Russia has used the flow of natural gas in the winter to try to control many former Soviet states.

To have Russia and China using such a key to the economy and public health as energy in future disputes between them will be very destructive to China and make them need to behave and become more dependent upon the West.

This is funny. China considers Siberia, part of China.

So, Russia builds the pipeline and then China takes Siberia in a few years.

Thanks..bon voyage....

The Chinese tell you their plans, they don’t hide it.

No reason for the EU to even need to worry about Russian natural gas, as they have huge amounts of renewables...that is unless they’ve been lying about the usefulness of renewables.

Exactly, they will let Europe freeze. I wrote a while back that the Ukraine issue is about the pipelines. Russia pays Ukraine billions, billions to send gas through that line to the EU. The second line would have run to Germany, sanctions of squelched that. Russia takes Ukraine, they stop needed to pay billions to them, the oligarchy, the Bidens. Such a criminal world we live ...

Actually, there’s plenty of oil and gas in a huge field in the eastern Mediterranean. Starts off Israeli coast goes all the way across to the Adriatic Sea. But, as usual, Balkan states, including Turkey, can’t even agree on time of day. So, not much development going on. Dumb, dumber, dumbest….
