Trump holds a commanding lead compared to other potential Republican candidates in the 2024 presidential nomination, garnering the support of more than half of GOP voters, a new poll shows.
In a new Reuters/Ipsos national poll conducted mid-December, 1,592 Republicans over the age of 18 were asked who they would support in the 2024 election. At least 54 percent of Republican voters said they would support Trump as their Republican presidential nominee, followed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis with 11 percent, and former vice president Mike Pence garnishing only 8 percent support.
The poll also included other potential Republican nominees, such as former South Carolina governor and U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, who came in fourth with 4 percent of support, followed by Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas with 3 percent, and Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie each receiving 2 percent.

Haley, Cruz and Rubio were all born to foreign parents with foreign nationality, they are not natural born citizens.
“Nope... we need DeSantis to stay in Florida! He’s doing an awesome job and we don’t want him to leave.”
I understand you folks in Florida wanting DeSantis to stay, but if he were president he would do it for all of us. If there is a Trump/DeSantis ticket, we will have 4 years of Trump and 8 years of DeSantis which is the ultimate.
Trunp/DeSantis or DeSantis/ —— 2024
Agreed. Trump's voice is not the only one and, honestly, not ever a legit anti-Swamp voice any longer.
Trump and his love of SwampJabs makes anything he says now about swamp things sound like Bush saying '...Read my lips...'
Only Trump can stop Trump from winning in 24.
Upcoming press conference and rally will be good indicators. Hopefully he takes an extra dose of wisdom concerning how voters feel about vaccines, mandates, and the silence about therapeutics.
Disagree 100%
Creating solid red states/legislature, counties, sheriffs etc is where it’s at right now. Wasting 4years of DeSantis as VP?? Please. And he could not do for the country what he’s doing for the state. He’s young. He’ll probably be President one day, I certainly hope.
Remember the lesson of Sarah Palin. She torpedoed her career by jumping to the national scene after what, 18 months as governor? Do you want Washington to do to desantis what they did to Trump? No.
If his balls were half as big as his ego, Trump would debate Dr Malone.
He was the favorite in 2020, too.
Pretty sure Haley, is NOT Natural Born Citizen compliant.
Trump will win the nomination when he declares. Desantis is FAR more valuable as governor of Florida. Everyone polled under these two is nonstarters. They simply have no chance to gain the nomination. If they choose to run anyway it will be for the sole purpose of dividing the vote hoping to foil President Trump’s reelection. Period. Those RINO’s would rather a Dem be elected than President Trump.
It looks like the anti-vax, Alex Jones groupies will have to suck it up and get over Trump’s support for the vaccines.
So Trump can overcome the fraud of 2020 when the machine thereof is still in place?
The same thing was said of Trump in 2020, that only he could stop himself from winning.
Haley was born to Indian nationals, not a natural born citizen.
Rubio was born to Cuban nationals, not a natural born citizen.
Cruz was born in Canada to a Cuban father and American mother, not a natural born citizen.
If we Americans are going to take our country back from the left’s freeloading foreigner invaders, we’re going to have to make this happen.
You mean just like 2016?
How'd that work out for the “elites”?
And he’s currently the the President. So, three terms. I’m OK with that as was the original constitution.
It would be hillarious if Trump won in 2024, if the Rats turn around and say, “He actually did win in 2020, so he’s ineligible!”
HA! Good point.
But the current Constitution says only two terms.
