There's a famous saying often attributed to Edmund Burke: "If you are not a liberal at 25, you have no heart. If you are not a conservative at 35 you have no brain." Youth is attracted to liberalism because its ideals sound good — they really do. You'd have to be some kind of monster not to want to save the planet, lift up the poor, correct past injustices, and share equally in Earth's bounty.
The problem with liberals is not their ideals; it's their actions — which never accomplish their intended purpose. That's because liberals are emotional, rather than rational, animals. They make decisions with their hormones, not their brains — just like children. Try debating one, and you'll see. I've tried. It can't be done. You'll be treated to an endless word salad of leftist talking points, followed by anger and a personal insult.
As one matures (not ages), one moves from emotion to wisdom. With that wisdom comes the realization that the laws of nature and economics do not bend to our will. The world is as it was created by our maker, not as we wish it to be. I've been on this earth for only about six decades. I don't claim to be a wise man, but I've learned a few truths along the way.
1. Science is never settled
Scientists who claim that "the science is settled" are fools — period. "Science" is our understanding of nature. It's the height of arrogance to presume that our understanding of nature is either complete or accurate. We've often thought it was, but history has proven us wrong time and again. We believed that the universe revolved around the Earth until we discovered that it didn't. Smart scientists know that there is always more to learn,

There is no common ground between left and right.
The left HATES the right. It is pure, basic hatred the same way racist Democrats once hated black citizens or socialist Germans hated Jewish citizens.
There is no reconciliation possible. There is no “let’s hug and make up” possible.
The left wants us eliminated and driven out from existence.
The left wants our businesses destroyed and our ability to hold jobs eliminated because of what we believe.
The left does not care that they need to fabricate stories (like Jan 6 or Russian Collusion) to destroy us. They will use whatever necessary to destroy us, imprison us and drive us out from their lives. Even after such things are shown to be fabrications, the left still believes them as fact because it feeds their visceral hatred of us.
A national divorce might prevent the coming violence and civil war that the left desires. They simply want us to start it so they can look like the “good guys”.
That will not matter. The left will start it (Jan 6) and say we started it regardless of fact.
Wisdom does not necessarily come with getting older. Sometimes age shows up all by itself.
Eternal adolescents never manage to gain this sagacity. They do not have 20 or 30 years of experience. They have one year’s experience 20 or 30 times.
Very dismal future....to say the least.
Yet, the best way to collapse liberals is to hoist
them on their own petard......they get confused easily.....snx.
Keep in mind..... liberals reek of self-loathing.
Everything they do....every issue they embrace.....
is intended to make them “feel good” about themselves.
Therein lies a liberal’s Achilles heel.

True believer libs know that with just enough ‘courage’ a true borderless, totally equalitarian, peaceful and just order can be created. Any chaos and anarchy attending the creation will just a necessary elimination of bad and reactionary elements.

I was never a liberal and yet I’ve always had heart. I was raised during the Vietnam war years; In military communities or on base. Personally seeing the heartbreak of the military returning home & being cursed at & spit on sealed my conservative bent.
