Trump did what he could and I thought he was an excellent president … but you don’t step into the same river twice, and things have moved on (in a disastrous direction). He can’t repeat his first term because things are different, and we certainly don’t need him obsessing on the wrongs that were done to him, either during his term or with the continuing persecution launched by the Dems. He’s absolutely right to be angry and fight back, but that’s not going to be a winning electoral platform.
He’s got to move on, and I don’t think he will.
You post irrelevant cliches. You can’t live by cliches. Each day is a new day and Trump is still the man to be our President, river or no river.
By your logic we would have no two term Presidents and on your second step in the river you are in a new river because the water has flowed on, fish have swam, gnats have been eaten. But yet, the river is still the same, ever changing but still the same because the totality and the continuum is the river.
If I can have a second bit of the apple... the other problem with your post is that “Trump needs to move on”.
Absolutely not.
The cheating in the 2020 election was an epiphany. Things can not be allowed to continue because “we’ll do better next time”. For the salvation of America the cheat cannot be allowed to succeed. Elections need to be fair and transparent and wrong doing cannot be allowed to reap rewards. America needs these people to be held accountable.
If that is not a winning platform for you then you “go gentle into that good night”. Americans need a fighter not a “go along” “get along” “accept the reality” (graft loving) pol.
