My father’s metal roof was textured panels of metal, with felt under it. It looked like composition shingles. No visible damage but 80 MPH winds and 8-1/2” of rain in 8 hours, lifted the felt and caused the leak. ZERO coverage. Nada.
It blew water past the porch and 6-8 feet inside the house. Since then, it leaks every time it rains, no matter how slow or how little wind.
Never Ever Again will I have anything to do with Texas Farm Bureau.
And there is more to the horror story that I will not go into.
I was nursing my father with a staff of 4 others while this was going on. He died of heart failure at 94 in March 2021.
The claim was denied on 9-16-2020.
This peril does not cover:
“b. Loss caused by rain, snow, sand or dust whether or not driven by wind unless the direct force of wind or hail makes an opening in the roof or wall, and the rain, snow, sand or dust enters through this opening and causes the damage.”
“For this reason, I must respectfully deny your claim for damages.”
NO MORE TEXAS FARM BUREAU!
Zero Coverage!
