On Thursday, the United States surpassed 580,000 cases, beating the record set only a day before.
That is believed to be a vast undercount because of testing shortages, the popularity of at-home tests and reporting delays over the holidays. What's more, scientists say, a significant number of people may have asymptomatic infections and never know it.
New estimates from researchers at Columbia University suggest that the United States illnesses could peak by Jan. 9...
In New York City, the first U.S. metropolis to see a major surge of omicron, the researchers estimated that cases will peak by the first week of the new year.

There’s real scientific certainty for you. Gotta keep the fear porn going with all those speculations and hypotheticals.
Like sheep to the slaughter! It’s quite remarkable.
The future is uncertain.
Rational analysis accepts that.
Mass Psychosis. Dr. Peter McCullough talked about it during his interview with Joe Rogan.
Flurona is a dangerous mixture of coronavirus and influenza. (So they say)(More of the same bullshit!)
Hurrah, it ends 1/9! Thankfully many colleges and some schools are going virtual until at least 1/18. They are protecting the kids from a disease that is 99.9% recoverable for them. But first, many are insisting on boosters to return to campus.
If it does peak on 9 Jan, we still have the downside of the curve to go through - a couple/few more weeks of still high (although declining) new case numbers.
People will probably feel a lot better about it though, once it is clearly heading down.
I had a low grade fever and headache yesterday. How horrid! Took Lactoferrin plus Benadryl. Fever is gone and so is the congestion. Actually managed an easy run today. I am left with a bit of a lingering cough, which is awful!
“ Took Lactoferrin plus Benadryl. Fever is gone”
That might turn out to be good for more than just COVID…
Has anyone who's had testing done seen their paperwork? Has 229E shown up on any if it?
Oh goody. More science.

“ Took Lactoferrin plus Benadryl”
I have seen reports about research into that combination for COVID, but I have not seen mention of how much, or how often, to take.
What dosage did you use?
Did you see a recommended amount somewhere, or did you just try some on your own?
I have some on hand, in case I show symptoms (250 mg apolactoferrin pills, and 25 mg Benadryl).. I was thinking about two of each before bed, and one more lactoferrin in the morning. That would be the equivalent of about a gallon per day of cow’s milk, or a pint of human milk.
I took 2 of each for 2 days then just 1 last night. It does make you drowsy. Lactoferrin comes in 250mg. Benadryl 25 mg.
