I hate government, any government, dictating what we put into our own bodies.
Not as bad as it use to be. I can remember a time where you could buy a steak on a sunday but you couldn’t buy a frying pan to cook it in .
Az used to restrict booze sales until after 10 Am on Sundays.
So if you work nights, and get home or to the local store at 07:59 you have to wait.
These are very stupid regulations.
Indiana had similar laws growing up in the ‘70’s. I got caught with a 12 pack of beer driving thru a dry county in Alabama once going home for college break, hahaha. The cop saw me buy the beer at a convenience store in a wet area, as soon as I crossed into his jurisdiction he nailed me. Took my beer and let me go. Must have been the officers brand.
Times were different then.
How is this not Restraint of Trade?
Shouldn’t you have gotten your liquor before New Year’s Eve?
Prohibition isn’t dead in Minnesota either. Liquor stores must be closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. It only took 135 years for Minnesota to permit Sunday liquor sales and Minnesota is the only state in the union to still have that Prohibition anachronism 3.2 beer. The government still has an iron hand on liquor in the Peoples Republic of Minnesota.
