And it should be...
Did you see her on Hot in Cleveland? Absolutely hysterical! She is such a treasure and a legend. She’s going to be missed.
MTM Show aired with an ensemble of unforgettable comics.
We’ve lost four of them this year. Ed Asner, Cloris Leachman, Betty White, Gavin McCloud.
MTM, Ted Knight, Valerie Harper, and Georgia Engle in prior years. Sad to see that they’re all gone now. The years roll by. The show one of the best of its time.
Old shows never die, they go to METV and other oldies channels!!
RIP Mrs. WHite.
There goes #3...
Reid, Madden and now White.
(I don’t really equate the losses of Tutu or Celtic great Sam Jones in the same category with these three but that’s my call.)
Maybe Betty is reunited now with Allen Ludden.
There’s a guy in one of those “dead pool” websites that would have gone 10-for-10 if Bob Barker had kicked over.

There is still 7.5 hours left in the year. As Lloyd Christmas pronounced “So there’s a chance”
Minor character actresses Joyce Bullifant and Lisa Gerritsen, are still around (like Rist, who I don’t remember). Dabney Coleman and Bruce Boxleitner, who each did one episode, are still hanging on, but yes, all the main characters are gone, many in the last two years, as are many of the NPCs.
Forgotten about him! Thinking the show featured a black
weather man at some point in time. Searched Google...
there was a weather man. Gordy Howard, played by John Amos.
He also played on the show Good Times. Born in 1939, seem to remember his dying while playing the Good Times character. Attempted to find his status, but unable to find information as to date he died.
LOL - yes, they do replay on alternate channels. Look at
“I Love Lucy” Still playing after all these years.
The Best of the New Year to you!
Loved her. RIP
We loved Betty White. However, my mother was pregnant with either my brother or me in the 1950s and was not feeling well one day when Betty White was on some TV show. Every time she saw Betty White on TV after that she would feel sick.
She would never watch the Golden Girls.
In 1962 my parents took my brother and me to see the taping of Password live in NYC. It was pretty cool.
You can add Eva Marie Saint to your list. 97 years old.
Angela Lansbury and Lee Grant, alive and well at 96.
and one more: Marsha Hunt, 104.
Her role as the alligator feeder in “Lake Placid” was out of this world - especially the way she antagonized the sheriff.
Yes he was outstanding as game show host.
I believe he was also the host of the GE college bowl
No. can you take it Princeton?
She was as liberal as it gets.
THAT was my only beef with her. She was a great performer and entertainer, and lived a good long life. If I live that long, I hope I can have half as much energy as she did. I very much respected her many achievements, but despised her politics.
Seen it a couple times. A cute movie, great cast. And yes, she did steal just about every scene.
Yes, she was.
Bea Arthur was excellent and so was Rue McClanahan...
Love, love, love the Golden Girls!
