Omnicrud may be infecting a lot of families out here in Cali. land, before and now, after
Christmas.

Earlier, I had posted about this crud before Christmas impacting a family of all ages and spread across N. California. No serious illness nor hospitalizations. Everyone was up to date with their vaccinations.

This morning, my wife got a phone call from a woman in her Bible study group of women from their mid 60’s to early 80’s. This woman is in her early 80’s, is basically healthy and fully vaccinated.

Her fully vaccinated two adult sons and their wives got the newest crud from a grandson/nephew home from college. He thought that he had a cold and pollen allergies. Like all if not most College students in California, he was/is fully vaccinated.

We didn’t have testing done, and we think that the Omni crud hit one of our adult sons in this December, and then, he passed it on to us.

He was fully vaccinated including his booster shot, and he got hammered fairly hard. He apparently passed it on to me, and I shared it with my wife. Whatever we had was like a serious cold without the fever for 3-5 days. Besides having running noses and feeling exhausted during the day, we had both hot flashes and shivers in bed for a few nights. Our tv was playing Christmas music and showing the burning fireplace log.

I sometimes nap in my Lazy Boy but never really sleep before the crud. One time with the crud, my wife timed me, and I slept over 2 hours in the afternoon sitting in my Lazy Boy.

My wife, seldom naps, and she has been laying down on a sofa, covering with a throw and taking about a 30 minute nap since her visit with the crud, a few hours after lunch and sometimes not finishing her lunch, until after she takes a nap.

We are hearing from coast to coast from friends and relatives basically the same, as noted above. All ages and both sexes are getting this crud in spite of being vaccinated and in good health before its visit.

No one has gone to a hospital nor needed to go. No body is taking any heavy duty drugs, rx or OTC..

Most of us, are basically over this new crud in a few days. The Church Lady above, is going to self isolate for a full 10 days and limit outside personal contact to avoid passing the crud on to others.
