We will remember them in our prayers. Positive tests may or may not indicate actual Coronavirus. Kids are more likely to have a high fever from the flu than Coronavirus. And a cold can cause loss of taste and smell.
One should remember that it is very unusual for people in their 20s and 30s to get very ill from coronavirus unless they are fat and sick from other things. Kids often have no symptoms at all. They should all stay warm, take it easy, eat right and possibly take some multivitamins if their diet is less nutritious than it should be.

I just read the actual bulletin. What is is withdrawing is the EUA for stand alone Covid testing as there are now FDA approved batch testing. When Covid first hit in early 2020 the tests were run separately from the standard respiratory viral panel.
What this bulletin is ending is the stand alone testing platform in lieu of platforms that have assays for multiple pathogens at once (a respiratory viral panel).
We can argue about the appropriateness of the PCR. While I agree that pcr is not a first line test Immunoassay is better PCR has a purpose in confirmation if necessary.
But this does not support that influenza and Corona virus were not distinguishable in the testing. It is facilitating multiple tests. Is with one swab which is better for the patient and safe for the nurses or techs gathering it.
However this should all be moot in about 12 weeks when omicron finishes this off.
Yeah what is so weird is the baby is the one that infected everyone, he’s 16 months old..went on Thursday to his eye doc appt, they were super careful..Friday night he got fever, my sis rapid tested him in the house, it was negative but she could see something on the test like a very light faint so she knew something was cooking, by the next morning she rapid tested him again and it was bright red positive..he had 102.6, but other than a slight runny nose no other symptoms..his 6 yr old brother was totally fine, in fact today he was supposed to go get the vaccine(He didnt want to get it and I didnt want him to get it either) so he told me “I hope I get rona so I dont need the stupid shot” he hates needles. On Sunday my sis decided what the heck lets test them all(Except hubby he didnt want to be tested) my sis was negative, kids came back positive, Sunday night the fever for the 6 yr old and hubby started, at the exact same time..just weird that the hubby has no taste and smell while the 6 yr old can taste and smell everything..would be nice to know what freakin variant they have..the 6 yr old already got the flu shot I know its worthless but should at least give some sort of protection I would think

They actually admitted it more than a year ago, but didn’t make a big deal out of it so they could keep,the hyle,of,large numbers of deaths being “from covid” going as long as possible, and of course no real journalists bothered to seriously challenge it and expose it nationwide either.
Those 400 people I saw lined up for their PCR test the other day are going to be surprised.

Question is, how honest will they be about the new tests, and whether they work, or what they may show? What if they begin to show a huge decrease in numbers of cases than what has been c,aimed for 2 years now? They gonna be honest and report the true num ers if the tests show a massive decline in cases?

There are no conclusive tests available to consumers to determine what variant caused a positive result. But given their assumed ages it should all pass with little risk other than the discomfort and fear that something serious is making them ill. There are others who might be qualified to give suggestions to help minimize their discomfort.
That's a fair question, given the bias and funding of NIH/FDA/CDC by Big Pharma.
