Didn’t he goad a Rush Limbaugh fan into making a large charitable donation?

Yep!
His death was his major contribution to the nation...

Reid didn't "goad" the contributor, Rush did. Reid had written a letter to the CEO of Rush's main client at the time, Clear Channel, to cancel Rush's contract and had 40+ senators sign it. Rush couldn't believe it. The Senate Majority Leader using his influence to stifle the free speech of someone who disagreed with him!!

Rush used that as a teaching moment and offered to auction Reid's letter for charity with the proceeds going to the MCLEF (Marine Corp Law Enforcement Foundation, which donates to families of people who died in the line of duty as a copy or a serviceman in any of the armed forces), with Rush matching the donation with his own money (another $2 million on top of the $2 million it sold for).

I count that as one of Rush's finest moments, of which there were many.

His first goal was making sure his children were surgically attached to the gubmint teet. His second was the destruction of the republic.

Another of his public services was to buy the right-of-way property to the Yucca Valley nuclear waste site, and keep jacking the price until even the Feds couldn’t afford it.

So glad John Madden’s death trumped Harry Reid’s death last night...lots of time spent “remembering” John Madden, Reid’s death was an afterthought.

Got his butt kicked by a Bowflex. That’s funny. But technically He got his butt kicked by a rubber band.
Still his greatest personal accomplishment was making multiple shady land deals worth millions and getting away Scott free.
