Former Biden transition team COVID-19 adviser Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel on Monday voiced his opposition to unemployment benefits for unvaccinated workers who lose their jobs over vaccine mandates.
GOP-led states like Arkansas, Florida, Iowa, Kansas and Tennessee have extended unemployment benefits to people who have lost their jobs over mandates. Reportedly, three other states are considering following suit.

Lesson: The more power the State takes from you with the justification "It's for your own good," the more power the State has over you (e.g., which it can exercise by denying benefits due to alleged "non-compliance").

AFAIK WA also pays UI for those terminated for lack of vax.
It makes sense because the employer changed the conditions of your employment after the employee was hired.
It is essentially a constructive dismissal — same as if they promised you a day job and switched you to nights. You can quit and often still get UI.
