Okay, since 16 and 17 year olds are responsible enough to vote, I think we should give them the right to:

- enlist in the armed forces
- drink alcohol
- purchase tobacco
- purchase and carry firearms of any type

Will the liberals agree to this?

There is no reason for any restrictions on the conduct of adults, so you are correct that whatever age is the age limit for voting should also be the age at which individuals have full rights of adulthood. And that includes the things you listed, and also the rights to take whatever other actions adults are able to do.

Somehow I can't imagine the same liberals promoting voting by 16 year olds also endorsing their rights, and responsibilities to be the same as any other adult. No need for juvenile courts for anyone over 15 at that point. And no basis for public schools to limits the rights of 16 and 17 year old students.
