Sit down with a 16 year old and try to discuss things like deficit spending, progressive versus regressive tax rates, the part monetary policy by the Fed has on the inflation rate.

FRiend, have you had such a discussion with anyone over 40?

Sure, your average teen probably won't understand the nuances, but the normal ones know they can't spend more money than they have in their DDA account. They also know that songs used to cost $0.99 but are now $1.29.

Your average 40+ human thinks the rich should pay their fair share - without knowing that the top 1% of filers by AGI pay more than one-third of the income taxes collected - and it was great getting a $600 helicopter drop of money.

Youths have the excuse of age. GenXers et al haven't that excuse.

Agree. Also, the top 10% of wage earners pay 72% of all IRS collections. 51% pay nothing, which is why I don’t think 51% of the people should have the right to vote. When Libs say: “The rich don’t pay their fair share, I agree, and state they should get a tax cut.” Kinda fun to watch their heads explode. I also hear stupid people say that the wealth Bezos has is unfair and should be stripped away. My response: “Tell you what...you create 200,000 new jobs, all of whom pay income taxes, and see how you feel about your taxes.”
