A producer for MSNBC’s “The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell” called China’s human rights abuses an “alleged” occurrence, despite the U.S. government declaring that China’s actions in Xinjiang amounted to a genocide.

And why would this producer say this? Probably under orders to NOT piss off the Chinese.
Remember that MSNBC is a part of NBC. And what is coming up in February next year that MSNBC and whole bunch of other networks under the NBC/Universal banner are going to be broadcasting?
The Olympics. In Beijing, China.
You can bet your bottom dollar that any kind of human right violations past or present will NOT be reported on by an NBC/Universal network... or they will be spun in such a way that their Chinese ‘hosts’ will not be viewed in a bad light.

Companion study aka “The Human Cost of Communism in Russia”, Prof. Robert Conquest, SISS, 1970 and the third volume in that series, one I created along with SISS investigator/historian David Martin, entitled “The Human Cost of Communism in Vietnam”, 1972, followed by a Part Two, Testimony of Daniel Theodoru”, late 1972 or early 1973.
Facts mean a lot in discussing history, something MSNBC people Don’t believe in.
