I know I couldn’t care less about Florida’s bowl game, and apparently so did the players.
I read an article years ago about the scam that is bowl game season. The bowls force the schools to purchase half the tickets at premium prices in advance. and hopefully the schools can recoup the cost or the taxpayers fill the shortfall. That same article also mentioned how Ohio State lost money going to the Rose Bowl because they were required to buy a ticket for every player, coach, cheerleader, band member, etc, of course at premium prices on top of the travel expenses. The day that big time college sports in America dies the better. No, I don’t give a crap about the revenue or the kid’s scholarship. I’m trying to dry up the money to colleges and universities. Tear them down and rebuild from scratch.
‘I remember when the Big Ten only allowed the conference champion to play in a post-season bowl game.’
and the same team could not play two consecutive years; talk about disincentives for the regular season...
and Notre Dame played in no bowl games at all...
How frightful
‘The day that big time college sports in America dies the better.’
yeah, that’s the ticket; let’s eliminate a major incentive for low income youth to do something other than be big city thugs and murder victims...
what could possibly go wrong...?
The two aren't mutually exclusive, see Aaron Hernandez.
More collateral damage - a lot of these kids work their whole lives to be good enough at a sport, only to have it ripped out from under them by the suits.
Over the last two years, many kids lost their dream of catching a ball, going to the prom, walking to graduation or down the aisle, etc. with their families beaming on in the audience.
They were also nice vacation sites too and now many of them have expanded into sites that are not so desirable cold weather vacations
Plus are just too many bowls so it dilutes the product and people don’t want to travel nearly as much during these Covid times fights
Boy, the body’s most really be stacking up. What else would we have all this hysteria?
We have become a Nation of COWARDS!
How frightful
It should be called the OhMyGawd virus.
Pretty impressive if Miami could lose money on a $4.55 million payout game. On the other hand, Marshall is probably losing money on the New Orleans bowl although Louisiana might break even if they ride buses. Same with the Frisco Bowl. UTSA could take buses, but SDSU probably lost money.
indisputable evidence that the experimental gene therapy jabs are NOT vaccines, but instead are not-very-effective temporary prophylaxis ...

But, the Big Pharma money train cares not a wit. Fauci, politicians, Big Media (running all kind of “public Service” ads), stock holders, Bill Gates, etc.
Real big money being spent here, and for what?
The Super Bowl ain’t nuthin’ compared to the China Olympics.
Any ideas on what you think might happen with the Olympics? China will do what it can to still hold.
Xiden will kiss up to his good buddies in China so it’ll go on as planned.
China has locked down 3 cities for hanta virus and have it contained in the rural areas. Wait, uh, that makes no sense to lock down cities if it’s a rural problem. But, hey, lets go with hanta since it isn’t transferred human to human and the Olympics isn’t in danger.
But... NIH (Fauxi) and CDC say it is Severe fever with thrombocytopenia virus (SFTSV) which is transferred human to human and has a fatality rate of 12% and there is no cure. Of course, China says there is a vax so follow the money trail.
So, get your 6th booster for covid and start your SFTSV and the Sudan mystery disease vaxes now so you’ll have time to get in a round of boosters or you won’t be allowed to watch the games on tv.
Just think about whatever version of covid we’ll have meeting up with whatever China has brewing and whatever Sudan sends to the games.
