British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will meet Monday with top advisers to determine if he will impose new restrictions in the UK amid a COVID-19 surge driven by the Omicron variant, according to reports.
After pledging not imposing restrictions ahead of Christmas, Johnson will speak with Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty and Chief Scientific Adviser Patrick Vallance regarding hospitalizations and infection numbers to see if a post-holiday lockdown is warranted, The Sun reported Sunday.

As Covid “cases” skyrocket worldwide, Covid deaths have actually declined by about 5-8% in the last three weeks.
All this s**t for something that is no more severe than a cold or mild flu for the vast, vast majority of people? And in which, when deaths do occur, 96 PERCENT are in people with 2 or more pre-existing co-morbidities and/or are ALREADY immunocompromised? Dear God on His throne.
I’d guess that they will come out with restrictions.
If for no objective reason (like a real risk of hospitals being overwhelmed), they will likely want to do “something” to cover their butts politically, against criticism as case totals mount.

No kidding. I used to think that Boris Johnson has some potential. Boy, was I wrong.
