Speaking of convents in Russia, and I don’t know if this is the same one that Elizabeth founded, but it will illustrate my point.

In 1993, a small group of nuns moved into an abandoned building in Moscow that had originally been a monastery for women. When the Soviets took it over in 1917 they turned it into a prison for children whose parents the commies had executed.

As the nuns were preparing for their garden, they found many children’s bones wrapped in cloth and covered with lime.

Since many people were working to repair the old buildings, Putin decided to help out by returning all the structures to their original owners and helping them financially to rebuild. Every church and synagogue. Then he helped them to build schools and seminaries.
