Disagree.
I watched the video, repeatedly.
The only way she endangered her fellow officers was by MISTAKENLY selecting her Glock Pistol and discharging it at a crowded target scene.
If she had properly selected the Taser, it was reasonably safe to deploy the barbs at that same target scene, because she still has the option to NOT ENERGIZE the weapon if the barbs embed in the wrong target, thus protecting fellow officers and innocent civilians.
Potter DIDN'T REALIZE SHE HAD SELECTED HER GLOCK PISTOL, and believed she held her Taser which she could control to keep her fellow officers safe.
Tasers are supposed to be trained the same way as firearms, with lines of fire, etc., etc. Even if it had been a Taser, she broke the rules so many times it isn’t even funny.
Also, the Taser type they use? If the officer is still holding the trigger when the needles make contact, they energize. Most departments teach to continue holding the trigger.
Watch the video again - she flags/muzzle sweeps the nearside officer repeatedly, she flags the other officer... she’s all over the damn place.
