A coalition of West Virginia advocacy groups has launched a $250,000 ad campaign to encourage Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va) to put his support behind the Build Back Better Act after he said this week he would not be voting on the key piece of legislation.
The WV New Jobs Coalition — made up of groups such as the West Virginia Working Families Party and the West Virginia Citizens Action Group — released a television ad as well as ads in five newspapers.
"Everyone is talking about inflation. Well, you know what would cut inflation and put money in West Virginia families' pockets? Build Back Better," the TV ad states. "Joe, we need your help. Vote for Build Back Better."
West Virginia currently has the second-lowest median income among all 50 U.S. states, the coalition said in its print ad.
"Senator Manchin has already indicated he is open to many aspects of the Act. The New Jobs WV coalition is calling on him to get on board with the whole thing and ensure everyday families receive the investments they deserve," the coalition said.

Somebody is just skimming personal profits here.
I very much doubt if any Ad campaign is going to change Manchin’s mind about this bill.
He doesn’t seem that easy to impress.
“Well, you know what would cut inflation and put money in West Virginia families’ pockets? Build Back Better,”
Well if borrowing two trillion would cut inflation, why not borrow 4 trillion? Maybe 5 trillion!
Well, you know what would cut inflation and put money in West Virginia...
What a pantload.
Though I am sure some would think they are due mo money the big part of our current issue is they GOT mo money...for nothing.
I hope he stands firm...I can hear any forums he holds over the break filled with whiney “constituents”.
250K? That’s pocket change in this context.
Uh like in the “rape, rape” thingy, NO means NO!
BWAHAHAHAHAHA
Yea, the Senator from WV, is going to rethink supporting a bill that will DESTROY the biggest industry in his state...
Let em burn the cash... won’t get them anywhere.
Manchin owes nothing to coastal big city left wing whackadoos....
IOW the usual Rat party thieves are desperate for other peoples money.
It aint a coalition of groups from West VA, just lobbyist front groups paniced and trying to buffalo Manchin.
your money.
THANK YOU SENATOR MANCHIN , KEEP RESISTING THE SOCIALISTS.
NO MORE BUILD BACK BROKER !!!
For a 30-second ad, plan on spending: Between $200 and $1,500 on a local TV station
Then , of course, how much will it cost to PRODUCE the ad.
He offered to sign a bill for $1.7T. It contained a whole lot of socialist must-haves. But they wanted it all in one go. He said no. Then, they took the New York approach against someone from West Virginia. That’s an incredibly cultural display of tone deafness. The Left has given up its insidious incremental approach of turning up the water temperature on the frog slowly. They turned it up to nuclear and are surprised the frog jumped out. (Idiots.) They could have had 80% of what they wanted but, no, they went for the 120%.
Desperate socialists and communists.
Typical democrap approach, throw money at a problem.
Amazing that the West Virginia Communist Party has that much money. They could be using it to help people or opening communes.
If the solution to inflation is to devalue the dollar then Venezuela is the wealthiest nation on earth. In fact its tyrannical leadership are among the world’s wealthiest. Clearly that is the agenda.
Astroturfing in WV. Bet all of those action groups are funded by Soros.
If these guys want some program funded, they obviously have the funds to do it themselves.
CBO has priced this bill between $4 Trillion & $5 Trillion in total cost.
How Christmas dinners for West Virginia’s poor would $250,000 buy? Too bad it’s being thrown away on a socialist media campaign with zero chance of success.
Do the socialists WANT to force Manchin out of the Dem Party? If not in the majority they could pretend they aren’t responsible for anything.
Realize that the “cost” of this is going to media which generally is just a different account in the Democrat operation.
